If you are planning on coming to my place for some massage you had better love animals...especially dogs! This is my baby. Her name is Chakra (the fourth one). She is a Golden Retriever. She's two years old and has a blast playing with other dogs. I would love for you to bring your nice, friendly, quiet dog over to run with her while you're getting a massage. We can put them in the back yard and just cut them loose!

Use Natural Flea & Tick Repellent!
Natural Cedar Oil is Safe, Effective and Inexpensive!

If you have a pet like me (Chakra) and you have enough common sense to search for a better alternative to poisonous flea and tick products for your pet then try CEDAR OIL and CEDAR shreds. Remember granny's old cedar wood chest? She put clothes and other important things in there that she didn't want the bugs to get to. Bugs can't stand cedar wood but it smells great to most humans. Cedar wood is the perfect flea and tick repellent! Unlike Advantix and Frontline, (mass marketed toxic chemicals) Cedar wood oil is totally natural, you can drip it all over your pet (even on your pet's belly) and it won't kill or make your pet sick! Yea! In addition to all that, cedar wood oil is inexpensive. An application of cedar wood essential oil on a large dog costs only about $1! If you buy an extra large bottle of cedar wood oil the cost would be even smaller. You can buy cedar wood oil at any health food store or on-line. Also, put cedar shreds in your dogs house for pet bedding. It's awesome and works while your pet sleeps. If you like you can use the cedar shreds as a pet bedding in a pet pillow in the house as well.
In the past I have tried other natural forms of flea and tick control like Diatomaceous earth, garlic, Borax, flea collars, pyrethrum, Pennyroyal and others. They didn't work and most of them we're a royal pain in my butt. After using that dam diatomaceous earth my lungs burned for two days. Borax created a nasty mess and smell all over the house too. Cedar oil works GREAT though. Bugs run like hell!
Apply the oil all over your pet OUTSIDE. (As soon as the cedar oil hits the pet, the bugs will evacuate so you don't want to apply it in the house!) Then thoroughly brush it into the fur. Re-apply once or twice a week during the peak season for bugs in your area.

This was my beautiful Woodrow. I loved him with all my heart and soul. He died tragically in early 2007. Sometimes I blame myself for his death. Other times I think that it was just his time to go. For I have lived a life of immense change and difficulty. Throughout my life I have always counted on my dogs to be there for me. Woody was no acception to the rule. He was such a good boy. He was the pick of the litter from my old CoCo, a chocolate lab that was with me for 11 great years. At first I didn't want to keep a puppie, but you know they're just so darn cute. Woody was the leader of the litter. It was easy to see he was the head honcho. All his life he got along with all people and most dogs unless they were not friendly toward him. When clients came over he would bark a couple of times and then befriend them. He always slept quietly on the couch while I gave the massage. He and his mama were with me when I was so very sick and doing a lot of cleansing and healing. I would not be alive without them. I am forever grateful. They would cuddle with me and allow me to hold them anytime. They gave unconditional love to me, my clients, family and friends for many years. I am so blessed...we are so blessed to have dogs...and cats too. Thank you God for our animals.
I wish I could go back and not "fix" him. I think that his unusual and continual craving for food may have contributed to his death. I've heard from other pet owners that this is true and found the following statement on the internet:
"Will spaying or neutering make my pet fat?
Removing the ovaries or testicles does affect metabolism. For this reason, spayed or neutered pets will tend to put on weight more easily if permitted to overeat. The important phrase here is if permitted to overeat. Monitoring the quantity of food given and providing regular play and exercise will help keep your pet in shape."
So no, I will not have my pets unnaturally spayed or neutered ever again! I never fixed my females and they never had such horrible cravings. He got into something that damaged him internally and he bled to death.
I love you Woodrow and I miss you so much. You are my best buddy and I'll see you again across the rainbow bridge.
